2023 Fantasy Outlook
Jones finished 2021 strong in Las Vegas and earned a three-year, $24 million contract in 2022 in Jacksonville, where he quickly became a favorite of Trevor Lawrence's in the short passing game. Jones' aDOT dropped from 14.0 his final season in Vegas to 8.6 his first year in Jacksonville, with the trade off career highs for targets (121), catches (82) and receiving yards (823). It would've been a bigger year if not for his league-high 13 drops, and his lackluster 6.8 YPT was easily topped by teammates Christian Kirk (133 targets, 8.3 YPT) and Evan Engram (98 targets, 7.8 YPT). Better efficiency seems likely this year, if only because it would be hard to drop that many passes again and third-year QB Trevor Lawrence figures to continue improving. On the other hand, Calvin Ridley is replacing an over-the-hill Marvin Jones at wideout, making Zay unlikely to approach last year's volume. Read Past Outlooks
RANKS
No longer facing charges
The Duval County Clerk of Court announced that Jones had a misdemeanor domestic battery charge dismissed Tuesday, Mark Long of the Associated Press reports.
ANALYSIS
Jones was arrested in November, and while the dismissal of legal charges represents a positive outcome for the receiver, he could still face a suspension for a violation of the NFL's personal conduct policy. He has one year remaining on a three-year, $24 million contract with the Jaguars, though there's been speculation that he could be a cap casualty this offseason.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could help replace Kirk
Jones could be in line for a bump in targets over the next four games at minimum following the placement of Christian Kirk on injured reserve Friday due to a groin injury, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jones has played in three consecutive games for the first time this season after having struggled with knee issues for the majority of the campaign, and he now appears in line for an opportunity to put that run of health to good use. Jones often fills a similar short-to-mid-range role to that of Kirk and has established rapport with Trevor Lawrence, so he could certainly play an elevated role during his teammate's absence while filling Kirk's No. 2 receiver role. That seemed to be case after Kirk went down on the Jaguars' first series Monday night, as Jones finished with a season-high 78 yards on five catches.

Jones spent the past three years with the Raiders and rebounded with 47 catches for 546 yards and one touchdown last season, which was his first notable production since his second year in the league with the Bills in 2018. He received $14 million guaranteed over a three-year deal with the Jaguars, which should slot him in as the No. 3 wideout on the depth chart behind Christian Kirk and Marvin Jones. QB Trevor Lawrence struggled as a rookie last year, but the Jaguars have made significant additions across the offense. Jones' outlook is significantly improved over past seasons, though any production is far from guaranteed while joining a new offense with an unproven signal-caller.
