2023 Fantasy Outlook
After selecting Bellinger in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Giants wasted little time integrating the rookie into their offense. An eye injury cost him four games, but Bellinger otherwise worked as the team's starting tight end throughout the regular season and playoffs. However, his pass-catching numbers (a 30-268-2 line on 35 targets) over 12 contests were modest, and the team chose to trade for a bigger offensive weapon at the position in Darren Waller this offseason. Word is that New York remains high on Bellinger, but there's little doubt that he'll have a reduced role in 2023. Read Past Outlooks
Modest numbers as No. 2 tight end
Bellinger didn't draw a target across 53 snaps on offense in Sunday's 27-10 win over the Eagles.
ANALYSIS
Bellinger finished the regular season with 25 catches on 28 targets for 255 yards and no touchdowns over 17 contests. From a production standpoint, Bellinger was more or less in line with his numbers from his 2022 rookie campaign, when he posted 30 catches for 268 yards and a pair of scores. However, the tight end played in five more contests this season, and he took a step back on the depth chart after New York acquired Darren Waller in the offseason. The Giants have expressed an affinity for Bellinger despite the Waller addition, but with the latter under contract through 2026, it's difficult to envision a scenario in which Bellinger's role on offense grows substantially in the near future. Bellinger has two years remaining on his rookie deal.

Could fall to backup TE
Bellinger could cede offensive snaps in Sunday's contest against the Saints if Darren Waller -- who missed the last five games with a hamstring injury -- is able to suit up for the game, Jordan Ranaan of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Waller was placed on injured reserve after sustaining a hamstring injury in the Giants' Week 8 loss to the Jets. In the five games Waller has missed, Bellinger has caught 11 passes for 138 yards and has recorded two or more receptions in four of those contests. He hasn't caught a regular-season touchdown since Week 5 of the 2022 season and would figure to scale back into a backup role should Waller return for Sunday's contest, though the latter could be on a snap count for the game.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
A big-bodied 2022 fourth-round pick out of San Diego State, Bellinger only put up a 68-771-5 receiving line in 31 games in college but has many intangibles that make him an intriguing TE prospect for the future. A 4.63 40-yard dash at the combine, sturdy hands and good vision after the catch, plus being a strong and capable blocker, all give him a path to snaps alongside uninspiring free-agent pickups Ricky Seals-Jones and Jordan Akins. Bellinger appeared to stake his claim to the starting role early in camp, and he has the potential to be a diamond in the rough for a Giants offense in flux.
