The Skinny

The matchup between the Mystics and Sky has the highest expected total on Sunday's slate, as it's the only matchup in which both teams are expected to top 80 points. However, the matchup isn't included on FanDuel's main slate. Tina Charles missed the final four games in August due to a hip injury and has been somewhat inconsistent since returning to the court. However, she posted a strong double-double with 26 points and 16 rebounds in Friday's win over the Dream. The Sky are effective at limiting rebounds, but Charles could still provide value despite her lofty DFS salary. Ariel Atkins (personal) is slated to miss a second consecutive game Sunday, which should lead to increased minutes for Shatori Walker-Kimbrough and Leilani Mitchell. Walker-Kimbrough was the more effective player in Friday's contest, but Mitchell should also remain in the starting five. Myisha Hines-Allen will also miss a fourth straight game due to a non-COVID illness, so Theresa Plaisance should handle an increased role in the frontcourt Sunday. She came off the bench Friday and posted 14 points, seven rebounds and six assists in 25 minutes and will provide mid-tier value if she comes close to replicating her production.

The Mystics are less effective defensively than Chicago, and the Sky will attempt to drive up the score with their third-ranked pace. As a result, Candace Parker carries the highest DFS salary on Sunday's slate. Her lofty salary is certainly justified since she's recorded double-doubles in each of the last two games and came close to a triple-double in last weekend's win over the Aces. Allie Quigley has a slightly more reasonable salary and is coming off a 22-point performance against Las Vegas, her fourth time topping 20 points since the Olympic break. Her success comes from beyond the arc, and she matches up well against Washington's defense, which allows opponents to convert on 38.4 percent of their three-point attempts. Kahleah Copper has been consistently productive on the scoreboard this year and has recorded double-digit scoring totals in each of her last 15 appearances. She's had 10 or more field-goal attempts in each of the last six games and has averaged 17.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 30.0 minutes per contest during that time. Although the Sky haven't played in a week, they have several contributors who could make an impact.

The Skinny

The Lynx and Fever have a rematch Sunday after the Lynx won Friday's contest, 89-72. The Lynx are the heavy favorites once again (-11.5), while the Fever will likely have trouble generating much offensive production against Minnesota's strong defense. Tiffany Mitchell led Indiana on the scoreboard Friday and has averaged 14.2 points in 31.8 minutes per game in her five appearances since she returned from a one-game absence due to a concussion. Kelsey Mitchell has also been a bright spot in the Fever's offense and has topped 20 points in two of her last four appearances. Jantel Lavender has been less effective overall, but she came within one rebound of a double-double off the bench Friday.

The Lynx are in line to have another strong offensive performance Sunday against Indiana's lackluster defense, although they could rest some of their key contributors if the score gets out of hand once again. Aerial Powers has been quite consistent recently and has scored 20 points in each of her last three appearances. Although she was eased back into action following her lengthy absence, it wouldn't be surprising to see her remain in the starting lineup Sunday. Kayla McBride has shot 46.8 percent from the floor across her last five games and has scored in double figures during each of those appearances. During that time, she's averaged 16.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 29.0 minutes per contest. Sylvia Fowles has recorded five double-doubles across her last 11 appearances, and she's averaged 15.5 points and 10.0 rebounds in 29.7 minutes per game during that time. Although she didn't record a double-double Friday, she had a well-rounded performance and will attempt to replicate her results in Sunday's rematch.

The Skinny

Although the matchup between Seattle and Los Angeles is expected to be the most competitive on Sunday's slate, the contest has the lowest expected total, as neither team is expected to score over 80 points. The Storm have the second-best offensive efficiency in the WNBA this season, but they'll have to play the remainder of the regular season without Breanna Stewart, who suffered a foot injury Tuesday. Eziyoda Magbegor stepped up after Stewart went down Tuesday and recorded 15 points and six rebounds off the bench, but Stewart's absence should also lead to increased looks in the frontcourt for Stephanie Talbot. Although Mercedes Russell already had a starting role when Stewart was healthy, she should take on an increased role in Seattle's frontcourt. Sue Bird has recorded double-digit scoring totals in just three of her eight appearances since the Olympics, but she's averaged 5.4 assists per game during that time and should have a leading role in the Storm's offense with Stewart sidelined. Jewell Loyd is also coming off a well-rounded performance Tuesday in which she totaled 20 points, six rebounds and six assists against the Mystics, and she'll attempt to remain effective Sunday.

The Sparks have one of the most unfavorable matchups Sunday, as they have the worst offensive efficiency in the league but will have to face Seattle's strong defensive unit. Erica Wheeler and Nneka Ogwumike have been the leading contributors on the scoreboard recently. Wheeler has had double-digit scoring totals in each of her last five appearances, and she's averaged 6.6 assists per game during that time. Ogwumike has topped 10 points in four of her last five games and has been more effective on the boards recently with 8.5 rebounds per contest across her last two appearances. Nia Coffey returned to a bench role Thursday but still scored in double figures for the fifth time in her last six outings. The Storm allow plenty of three-point attempts, which should benefit Coffey, who has averaged 4.8 three-point attempts per game across the last six contests. While Wheeler and Ogwumike have had solid fantasy production recently, the team will likely struggle to generate much offensive production against the Storm.
