Robert Farah

Out of Australian Open after positive test
Suspension
January 14, 2020
Farah withdrew from the doubles competition of next week's Australian Open after revealing Tuesday that he's been suspended following a positive test for the banned substance boldenone, Tennis.com reports.
ANALYSIS
The 32-year-old indicated that he was recently informed of the positive test, which was conducted back in October. The world's No. 1 doubles player attributed the positive test to boldenone existing in various Colombian meat products, indicating that he didn't knowingly ingest an illegal substance. Farah is optimistic that his suspension will eventually be lifted at some point during the 2020 season.
