Late withdrawal from US Open
Elbow
August 31, 2020
Tsurenko withdrew from the US Open before her first-round match against Madison Brengle due to an elbow injury, Stephanie Myles of Tennis.life reports.
ANALYSIS
This news flew under the radar all the way until the scheduled match began, but instead of Tsurenko on the court, Tsurenko had been replaced by Arina Rodionova. Afterwards it was discovered by Myles that Tsurenko was dealing with an elbow injury, although it's unknown if it's the same elbow issue that forced her to sit out the back half of 2019.
