Gets new fight
Frevola is slated to take on Michael Johnson at a UFC event on May 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Frevola is looking to bounce back from a loss to Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 295 in November that snapped a three-fight winning streak. He now boasts a 5-4-1 record with the company. He will look to get back on track against Johnson, who just defeated Darrius Flowers at UFC Fight Night earlier in the month and holds a 14-15 record with the company.

Winning streak snapped at three
Frevola lost to Benoit Saint-Denis via KO (head kick) at 1:31 of Round 1 at UFC 295 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Frevola entered having won three in a row, all via knockout, but one head kick from Saint-Denis was all it took to quickly end that streak. You can't even blame Matt for what happened. After some back-and-forth exchanges on the mat, Frevola got to his feet and was actually moving away from Saint-Denis at the time, but he got caught flush. Frevola's roster spot is more than secure given his recent strong run, but at age 33, his margin for error moving forward isn't all that great. This was a big fight for him that clearly didn't go his way.

Next fight booked
Frevola is set to face off against Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 295 on Nov. 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Frevola, who has won his last three fights by way of knockout (most recently defeating Drew Dober), will look to keep his streak alive against Benoit Saint-Denis. The 33-year-old American fighter holds a 5-3-1 record during his time with the UFC and he will look to continue building his resume at UFC 295.

Third straight knockout win
Frevola defeated Drew Dober via TKO (punches) at 4:08 of Round 1 at UFC 288 on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey.
ANALYSIS
It's a third straight knockout victory from Frevola, which is remarkable considering he had just a single knockout win in his first dozen professional bouts prior to this recent run. Entering as a +180 underdog against an opponent known as a high-level striker, "The Steamrolla" fired off a sweeping right hand which dropped Dober to the mat before finishing him off with countless follow-up strikes. Frevola is a good wrestler with excellent cardio, so he would appear to have real potential if this newly found increase in power is legitimate. The soon-to-be 33-year-old Long Island native is looking at a big fight his next time out. In the meantime, he'll take home a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his efforts here.

Taking on Drew Dober
Frevola agreed to face Drew Dober in a lightweight bout at UFC 288 on May 6, Damon Martin of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Frevola knocked out Ottman Azaitar in November for his second straight win and will return to the Octagon in May. Dober is also coming off a knockout win over Bobby Green and has won his past three bouts.
