Headed to Bellator
FlyweightBellator
June 4, 2019
Rawlings will sign with Bellator MMA and compete in the flyweight division, Ariel Helwani of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
Rawlings was handed her UFC walking papers after dropping four consecutive fights, but the 30-year-old has since bounced back, going 3-0 under the banner of Bare Knuckle FC. She'll put the gloves back on for Bellator, competing in the 125-pound division that is currently reigned over by Ilima-Lei Macfarlane.
Drops fourth-straight fight at UFC 223
FlyweightBellator
April 7, 2018
Rawlings lost to Ashlee Evans-Smith via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC 223 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Rawlings really struggled in this fight. She landed her share of strikes, but she was behind the entire time. Whenever she landed a strike, she also absorbed multiple strikes. It is hard to imagine how she keeps her job in the UFC. She is now riding a four-fight losing streak and has lost five of her last seven fights.
Gets Ashlee Evans-Smith on Fight Pass prelims
FlyweightBellator
April 4, 2018
Rawlings will face Ashlee Evans-Smith in a flyweight matchup during the Fight Pass early prelims of UFC 223 on Saturday in Brooklyn.
ANALYSIS
Rawlings will be coming up from the strawweight division, while Evans-Smith is moving down from the bantamweight division, so it's not surprising to see the latter with a two-inch height and three-inch reach advantage. Furthermore, neither has secured a victory in 2017, so each could be fighting with their UFC future on the line. Over relatively short sample sizes, Rawlings averages a slightly higher striking output, while Evans-Smith is the more careful striker, owning the better striking differential. As of Wednesday afternoon, Rawlings finds herself approximately a (+170) betting underdog.
Loses to Jessica-Rose Clark via split decision in Australia
FlyweightBellator
November 18, 2017
Rawlings was defeated by Jessica-Rose Clark via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night 121 on Saturday in Australia.
ANALYSIS
Rawlings seemed to feel the effect of Clark's missed weight. Clark missed weight and seemed to be the bigger fighter in the Octagon. When the fight went to the ground, Rawlings had a hard time keeping top position, and was unable to escape when she was on the bottom. After being threatened with multiple submissions in the second round, she verbalized to her corner that Clark was heavy on top. In the third round, Rawlings stunned Clark with a right hand but then she decided to take the fight to the ground. After a short time in top position, she wound up on the bottom which ultimately led to her losing the decision.
To face Jessica-Rose Clark in Sydney
FlyweightBellator
November 8, 2017
Rawlings will now go up against Jessica-Rose Clark on November 19 during Fight Night 121 due to Joanne Calderwood's injury, Shaun Al-Shatti of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
There has been no word on what specific injury forced Calderwood out of the fight, but Rawlings will move her focus towards a UFC newcomer in Clark for their strawweight bout in Sydney, Australia. Clark was initially preparing for a fight against Vanessa Porto in early December at Invicta FC 26, but she will now bring a 7-4 record into a hometown matchup against Rawlings.
