Jotko was released from the UFC on Tuesday, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jotko was a veteran of the UFC with 17 fights under his belt and a solid 11-6 record. He was last in the Octagon back on Oct. 1 when he fell by submission to Brendan Allen. Prior to that loss he had won five out of six, but all of them were by decision.

Not competitive in Vegas

October 1, 2022
Jotko lost to Brendan Allen via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:17 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
A competent all-around fighter with no significant holes in his game, Jotko had won five of six entering this one. He got off to a quick start, falling into an awkward takedown and ending up in a dominant position, but Allen was able to reverse him while on the mat and Jotko never really got back on track. While Jotko's now 11-6 UFC record seems perfectly fine on paper, his last six victories have come via decision, making it difficult for Jotko to keep up this type of success over the long term.

Jotko is set to take on Brendan Allen at a UFC event on Oct. 1, Raphael Marinho of Combate.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jotko took down Gerald Meerschaert on Apr. 30, to improve his UFC record to 23-5-0. The 6-foot-1 fighter has made a tremendous recovery from a foot injury that forced a six-month absence, and he will look to continue building upon his recent success against Allen.

April 30, 2022
Jotko defeated Gerald Meerschaert via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC on ESPN 35 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It was a typical Jotko fight in the sense that he was once again unable to stop his opposition, but still managed to walk away with the win. Entering as a moderately surprising -170 favorite against a talented veteran opponent in Meerschaert, Jotko controlled the pace on the feet in addition to mixing in four successful takedowns, good for 5:25 worth of control time. Jotko has very little power and is limited from an athletic standpoint, but few fighters on the roster today get the more out of their abilities. Jotko has won five of six dating back to April 2019, with all five of those coming via decision. His only setback during that span came against rising middleweight contender Sean Strickland.

Jotko was handed a six-month medical suspension due to a left foot injury Tuesday, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Jotko suffered a potential foot fracture during his split-decision win against Micha Cirkunov on Saturday. He'll undergo an X-ray and won't be able to fight again until April 1 without clearance from a doctor if it's positive. If it's negative, he'll only be out until Oct. 24.
