Has nothing for John Howard at PFL 10
MiddleweightPFL
October 20, 2018
Gordon lost to John Howard via unanimous decision (20-18, 20-18, 20-18) at PFL 10 on Saturday in Washington, D.C.
ANALYSIS
Gordon really struggled in this fight. He could not handle the hand speed of Howard. He would throw one leading strike, and Howard would counter with a multiple-punch combination. Gordon did not have any chance to really grapple, bu the did get back to his feet following slams on a few occasions.

Fights a step behind Shamil Gamzatov
MiddleweightPFL
July 5, 2018
Gordon lost Shamil Gamzatov via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28 at PFL 3 on Thursday in Washington, DC.
ANALYSIS
Gordon needed to land a Hail Mary to win this fight. He came close a few times, but he was never able to do it. Gamzatov was the better striker and it showed throughout the contest. He forced Gordon to miss and ate him up with counters. The two-time TUF veteran has now lost four of his last five fights.
Eddie Gordon: Released by UFC Friday
MiddleweightPFL
October 16, 2015
Gordon will be released by the UFC, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Gordon posted the news on his personal Twitter account. You never like to see anyone lose their job, but Gordon deserved it. After destroying Dhiego Lima to win The Ultimate Fighter in July 2014, Gordon lost his last three fights. Gordon planned to move down to welterweight for his next fight, but that obviously will come with a different organization. "Truck" trains with an elite team (Serra/Longo), but he just didn't appear to have the required physical gifts to become an effective fighter in the UFC.

Gordon will move down to the welterweight division, according to Ariel Helwani on UFC Tonight.
ANALYSIS
Gordon look highly overmatched in his last fight against Antonio Carlos Junior, and has now lost three straight fights in the middleweight division. He was thought to be at risk of being cut from the promotion, but the former TUF champion will instead try his luck in a new class, where he should be more evenly matched.
Eddie Gordon: Looks Terrible Again Saturday
MiddleweightPFL
June 27, 2015
Gordon lost to Antonio Carlos Junior by submission (rear naked choke) at 4:37 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Hollywood, Florida.
ANALYSIS
Ugly. Why Gordon would accept a fight against a guy who has spent his entire career at heavyweight and light heavyweight is beyond us. Especially considering he was on a two-fight losing streak (now three) heading into Saturday. Gordon was in noticeably better shape than we've ever seen him, but he looked like he was about half Carlos Junior's size. He got off virtually no offense in the bout. Gordon has gone stunningly backwards since he won his Ultimate Fighter title in July 2014. He actually seems to be getting worse. His pedigree may very well earn him one more bout with the UFC, but he's looking at a release if he doesn't get his act together.
Eddie Gordon: Underdog Against Antonio Carlos Junior Saturday
MiddleweightPFL
June 23, 2015
Gordon will enter Saturday's middleweight fight against Antonio Carlos Junior at UFC Fight Night in Hollywood, Florida as the underdog in the bout.
ANALYSIS
Gordon has look dreadful in his last two fights (both losses) and his reward is he gets to fight a guy who is much bigger and stronger than he is. Gordon should have a slight speed advantage on Saturday, but that's about it. He's a good athlete, but this seems like a bad matchup for him. He's a former Ultimate Fighter winner and he trains out of a good camp (Serra/Longo), but losing three in a row if never a good idea if you wish stay employed.
