LightweightUFC
February 13, 2020
Roberts will fight Matt Frevola at UFC Lincoln on April 25, Nolan King of MMAJunkie.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Roberts boasts a 3-1 record in the UFC, and he'll enter his matchup against Frevola with a clear advantage in terms of height (6-foot-1 vs. 5-foot-9). Both fighters possess versatile skillsets, but question marks surrounding Roberts' ability to improve his takedown defense will linger as UFC Lincoln approaches.

Roberts defeated Alexander Yakovlev via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Moscow, Russia.
ANALYSIS
In for an injured Vinc Pichel and fighting in hostile territory, Roberts did what was necessary to get the job done. It was far from a masterpiece and Roberts did allow Yakovlev to land three takedowns on eight attempts, but he was the much more effective, crisper striker and that ultimately carried him to the win. A product of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series, Roberts is now 3-1 in the UFC. He's young (25 years old) and ridiculously big (6-foot-1) for the lightweight division, so those two traits alone make him a fighter worth monitoring moving forward.
Suffers first pro loss in Minnesota

Roberts lost to Vinc Pichel via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Minneapolis.
ANALYSIS
Roberts's first professional loss was due to his inability to defend the takedown. With the fight tied at a round apiece heading into the third and final frame, Roberts found himself plastered to the mat unable to generate anything offensively. It was a poor performance from a guy who entered the fight as a significant (-245) favorite. Roberts, at 6-foot-1, has a great frame for the lightweight division, but his long-term upside will be limited unless he improves his takedown defense. He is still just 25 years old.

Roberts will join the UFC Minneapolis fight card June 29, squaring off against Vinc Pichel, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Roberts won't have to wait long to follow up his unanimous decision victory over Thomas Gifford on April 27, returning to the Octagon just over two months later. He's making a name for himself early in his professional career, quickly rising up the circuit rankings with eight straight victories as a pro. His last fight against Gifford was the first that required a decision, with four prior victories coming via submission and the three others on TKOs. Roberts also showcased some wrestling in the Gifford fight, logging two takedowns and recording six passes. The 25-year-old's versatility will make him worth considering, even when going up against the much more experienced Pichel.
Stays undefeated in Fort Lauderdale

April 27, 2019
Roberts defeated Thomas Gifford via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) at UFC Fort Lauderdale on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
On the feet, Roberts looked every bit a (-470) betting favorite, and only appeared vulnerable in a few of the grappling exchanges. He was able to evade the stickiest submission attempts of Gifford, who was only able to survive three rounds due to his tremendous toughness. This was the first official fight that Roberts has seen the third round, and his cardio held up tremendously. The undefeated prospect proved he's ready for tougher competition at 155 pounds. After the bout, he called out Matt Frevola in hopes of a late-summer matchup.
Facing UFC newcomer Gifford in Florida
LightweightUFC
April 16, 2019
Roberts (7-0-0) is scheduled to face Thomas Gifford (17-7-0, 2NC) in a lightweight fight April 27 at UFC Sunrise, ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Just seven fights into his brief career, the 25-year-old Roberts has emerged as one of the top prospects in the lightweight division. A former competitor on Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series, Roberts made his UFC debut at The Ultimate Fighter 28 finale in Las Vegas back in November, scoring a first-round win via submission over Darrell Horcher.
