Alonso will fight Johnny Eblen at Bellator 229 in California on Oct. 4, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
This will be the veteran's first match since defeating Josh Koscheck back in February 2017. Dating back to 2016, Alonso is officially on a three-fight winning streak and currently holds a 1-1 record under the Bellator banner. His overall MMA record so far sits at 13-7.

Alonso defeated Josh Koscheck via TKO (punches) at 4:42 of Round 1 at Bellator 172 in San Jose, Calif.
ANALYSIS
Alosno started the main card off with an upset. He appeared to be the bigger fighter in this fight. He used his reach and stayed on the outside. Towards the end of the first round, he connected with a counter punch that hurt Koscheck. From there, Koscheck was on the defensive. Alonso landed a nasty uppercut that dropped Koscheck. He continued to pour on the punishment and finished the fight. He came into this fight with a 12-7 record and picked up one of his biggest wins to date.
