As Nugent-Bowman notes, Bourgault has regressed statistically this year -- he picked up 13 goals and 34 points through 62 AHL appearances in 2022-23 and has only five goals and 14 points through 35 AHL contests in 2023-24 -- so the Oilers likely wouldn't hesitate to ship him out in order to acquire a difference maker at the trade deadline.
