24-Year-Old CenterC
Dallas Stars
2019 Fantasy Outlook
The 23-year-old made his NHL debut last year, playing in 18 games and scoring two goals. L'Esperance was far more productive in the AHL, where he racked up 30 goals and 45 points in 54 contests. Undrafted out of college, he has emerged as a genuine prospect, playing a physical, two-way game that marks him as a checking-line option for the Stars who can potentially make a contribution in the attacking zone as well. L'Esperance doesn't have a tremendous fantasy ceiling, but his style of play seems like a good fit for coach Jim Montgomery's system, and he could force his way into a regular shift as soon as this season. Bumped back to minors

The Stars sent L'Esperance back to AHL Texas on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
L'Esperance left the Stars on a high note, potting the team's only goal of Friday's game against the Blackhawks. The rookie pivot could rejoin Dallas once Texas' season ends, but, for now, L'Esperance will concentrate on adding to his 44 points over 50 games in the AHL.
