GOALIES

Despite a sterling .935 save percentage and 2.21 GAA through five home starts this season, Connor Hellebuyck ($7,600) has only recorded two wins. He's also already recorded four, 35-save showings, and this salary opens up salary room. With the Jets also the underdog on home ice, the 26-year-old netminder could be carry a low ownership percentage. Calgary's also scored just 11 goals through six road games.

More expensive, and in the marquee matchup of the night, Tuukka Rask ($8,000) will be looking to top the Blues to avenge last season's loss in the Stanley Cup Finals. The Finn has been spectacular to start the season with a 4-0-1 record, .944 save percentage and 1.78 GAA, and the Blues enter this contest without star winger Vladimir Tarasenko ($6,800).

The inconsistent Maple Leafs visit Montreal after beating San Jose 4-1 on Friday, so Carey Price ($7,700) has an opportunity to bounce back after a disappointing loss to the Sharks on Thursday. He stopped 49 of 51 shots through his previous two outings for consecutive wins, and Toronto attempts the second most shots per 60 minutes in the league. The Montreal netminder is positioned to pad his point total with saves.

John Gibson ($7,100) draws the Avs as a notable underdog despite Colorado playing its second game in consecutive nights. While the American netminder has dropped three consecutive games, he's still allowed two goals of fewer in seven of nine starts and owns a .927 save percentage and 2.22 GAA. The salary opens up options throughout the rest of your lineup as well.

VALUE PLAYS/ONE-OFFS

Building around Nathan MacKinnon ($8,000) isn't a bad starting spot. He's started the year with a 10-game point streak consisting of five tallies, nine helpers, 38 shots and six power-play points, and his lowest DraftKings point total of the season is a healthy 9.5. It's not a slam-dunk matchup against the Ducks, but it could keep MacKinnon's ownership in check, and Colorado is on home ice. The 24-year-old center has recorded an elite 4.23 points per 60 minutes at the Pepsi Center over the past three years.

Sticking with the Avs, with Mikko Rantanen ($7,500) sidelined indefinitely, J.T. Compher ($3,500) skated with Nathan MacKinnon ($8,000) and Gabriel Landeskog ($6,700) atop the depth chart Friday. Compher recorded an assist, and the trio combined for a 58.3 Corsi For percentage and scored an even-strength goal. As long as Compher is skating with MacKinnon and Landeskog, he's worth considering - especially at this cap hit.

After being a healthy scratch against Nashville on Tuesday, Maxime Comtois ($2,600) responded with a goal in Thursday's road game against Dallas. He's skating on an intriguing line with Ryan Getzlaf ($4,800) and Jakob Silfverberg ($5,300), and his salary is easy to slide under the salary cap. Colorado is also in a tough schedule spot, as highlighted.

It was a rebound campaign for Zach Parise ($3,900) last year with 28 tallies and 33 helpers. He's scored three goals through 10 games to start 2019-20, and the Wild draw a decent home matchup against Los Angeles. The Kings have surrendered a league-high 4.79 goals per 60 minutes on the road this season. Just note that his 18.8 shooting percentage is high, so the veteran is closer to a contrarian flier than a low-priced lock.

FORWARD LINE STACKS

A new-look trio, Brayden Point ($5,900), Nikita Kucherov ($6,900) and Ondrej Palat ($5,000) don't break the bank while also providing exposure to both Tampa Bay power-play units. The trio has combined for 3.8 goals and 13.1 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes while driving possession with a 56.8 Corsi For percentage. It's not an easy matchup against the Preds, but there have been 73 combined goals through Nashville's 10 games. Tampa will have chances to score.

Even with two goals through his past three games, Jeff Carter ($5,300) sports an unsustainably low 5.4 shooting percentage. Similarly, linemate Tyler Toffoli ($3,900) owns a 6.3 mark through his past seven contests. The two present a nice mini stack option after combining for 26.0 shot attempts per 60 minutes and 6.2 shooting percentage. The Wild have also surrendered 3.6 goals per hour this season -- fourth worst in the league.

While unorthodox, stacking pieces of Toronto's No. 1 power-play unit isn't out of the question. Auston Matthews ($7,700) has been one of the most reliable DraftKings producers this season, while Mitch Marner ($6,500) and Morgan Rielly ($6,300) are right behind him. Over the past three seasons, Toronto's 8.5 goals per 60 minutes with the man advantage rank fifth, and William Nylander ($4,700) and Andreas Johnsson ($4,500) lessen the cap-hit burden. Montreal's 7.1 expected goals against while shorthanded is fifth highest in the league, too.

DEFENSEMEN

After recording a high-end 1.78 points per 60 minutes through the previous three years, John Klingberg ($4,900) has a 0.63 mark this season and been held off the scoresheet in 10 of 12 games. His salary has plummeted as a result, and while the Pens are far from a doormat, their injuries are starting to catch up with them -- Pittsburgh has lost three straight.

While more expensive, Victor Hedman's ($5,800) salary is still reasonable, and he's a proven contributor who can help in a Tampa Bay stack. The Swede has found the scoresheet in eight of nine games to start the season while logging a respectable 23:10 with 2:44 on the power play.

Mired in a nine-game point drought, Tyson Barrie ($4,300) is a potential grab because of his diminished cap hit. The veteran registered four assists through the first three games of the season and logged 5:04 of power-play time during Friday's 4-1 win over San Jose. Saturday's tilt between the Canadiens and Maple Leafs has the potential to be high scoring, too.

With the noted favorable matchup against the Kings and a point in two of his past three games, Mathew Dumba ($4,200) is priced to reward Saturday. The Wild's struggles around him have limited his production to date, but there's no questioning Dumba's upside after recording an impressive 1.76 points per 60 minutes last year.
