31-Year-Old Defensive TackleDT
Seattle Seahawks
2023 Fantasy Outlook
The 31-year-old was traded from the Raiders to the Cowboys in October last season to help shore up Dallas' run defense, but instead a pectoral injury caused him to miss the final four games of the regular season. Hankins re-signed with the Cowboys in the offseason, and he'll give Dan Quinn's unit some experience and handle a rotational role while mentoring 2023 first-round pick Mazi Smith and the team's other young defensive tackles. ANALYSIS
Hankins spent last season in Dallas, starting 14 regular-season games and racking up 27 tackles (13 solo), including 3.0 sacks. His presence should strengthen Seattle's defensive line against the run in 2024.

Hankins was placed on the PUP list in July due to an undisclosed injury, but he figures to retain his starting duties at nose tackle upon his eventual return. The 30-year-old posted 38 tackles (15 solo) in 14 games last season, though he failed to record a sack for the first time since 2018.
Hankins has totaled 134 tackles (76 solo) through his first three seasons with the Raiders, and the 29-year-old is expected to remain a starter at defensive tackle in 2021 after signing a one-year contract extension worth $3.5 million in March.
Hankins missed out on matching his career high in tackles by just one stop during the 2019 season as he racked up 50 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 16 games. He's slated to retain his starting spot at defensive tackle in 2020, a position bolstered by the arrival of former Cowboy Maliek Collins.
After signing a three-year, $30 million deal with the Colts, Hankins should provide a major boost for the team's run defense, which was a bottom-10 group in 2016. Hankins had seven sacks back in 2014, but he's only managed three sacks in 36 games across his other three NFL seasons.
Powerful interior lineman, should team with Damon Harrison on the inside and Jason Pierre-Paul and Olivier Vernon on the outside to form one of the best defensive lines in the league.
The third-year pro had a solid season as an interior lineman last year with 51 total tackles and seven sacks. He’ll anchor the team’s defensive line again in 2015 alongside star pass-rusher Jason Pierre-Paul.
Starting defensive tackle, effective in the run game.
Second-round draft pick should be in the interior line rotation.
