26-Year-Old Tight EndTE
Jacksonville Jaguars
2023 Fantasy Outlook
Farrell's second NFL campaign went similar to his rookie year, and he finished 2022 with four receptions for 40 yards in 17 contests. The 2021 fifth-rounder played just 94 offensive snaps and saw most of his action on special teams. Evan Engram is back as Jacksonville's top tight end, and second-round rookie Brenton Strange is a decent bet to earn the No. 2 job, likely leaving Farrell to serve as a depth option once again. Finishes season with 13 catches
TEJacksonville Jaguars
January 23, 2024
Farrell closed the season with 13 catches on 15 targets for 155 yards in 17 games.
ANALYSIS
Farrell once again primarily served as a blocking tight end for the Jaguars in 2023, though he did set career highs in both receptions and receiving yards. The 26-year-old should fill a similar role in 2024, which is the final year of his rookie contract.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Potential late-round gem?
TEFree Agent
April 23, 2021
Bob McGinn of The Athletic believes Farrell could be an "unsung hero" of the 2021 draft class.
ANALYSIS
Farrell was a three-year starter at Ohio State, where tight ends were primarily tasked with blocking. He finishes his college career with only 34 catches, but a 4.81-second 40-yard dash time at Ohio State's pro day suggests Farrell may have some untapped athletic ability. It remains to be seen if he's selected in the NFL Draft or signed as a free agent afterwards.

2021 Fantasy Outlook
Farrell caught 20 passes for 205 yards and a touchdown during his sophomore season at Ohio State, but over the last two years he had 12 catches for 156 yards and three scores. The Jaguars selected him during the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft, and he profiles similarly to the team's top tight end Chris Manhertz as a blocking specialist. Farrell thus figures to see most of his work out of the gate as a blocker, with Manhertz and James O'Shaughnessy likely to open the season atop the depth chart.
