Artavis Pierce

Pierce joined the Bears this offseason as an undrafted free agent and moves into a short depth chart, in which he occupies the fourth, and last spot, as the preseason begins. During his senior year at Oregon State, he led the team with 146 carries for 873 yards while adding 23 receptions for 169 yards and a TD. Unless the team adds RB depth before the season, he has a solid chance of cracking the Week 1 roster, and he wouldn't need many events to happen for him to potentially see playing time. Although he's not a player to necessarily target in fantasy drafts, he is a player to monitor on the waiver wire should he be pressed into duty -- something that could happen earlier than expected now that David Montgomery is nursing a groin injury.
