Re-signing with Houston
Sims agreed Wednesday to re-sign with the Texans, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
ANALYSIS
In three regular-season appearances and one postseason game with the Texans in 2023, Sims caught three passes for 25 yards and ran once for one yard. He also served as a return man on punts and kickoffs, and his continued success in that capacity during the Texans' offseason program and the preseason will likely represent his best path to winning a roster spot with Houston to begin the 2024 season.

Odell Beckham didn't play much in the divisional round, with Baltimore instead leaning on Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor alongside No. 1 receiver Zay Flowers.
Nico Collins will get the chance to prove himself as a WR1 with the Texans down wideouts in a high-stakes setting.
Isaiah Likely did his best Mark Andrews impression Sunday night, but the Baltimore offense took another hit with RB Keaton Mitchell suffering an ACL tear.
Latest Fantasy Rumors
Joins Houston's depleted WR room
Sims was signed from Houston's practice squad to the active roster Tuesday ahead of Saturday's divisional-round game in Baltimore.
ANALYSIS
Sims could wind up going from practice-squad player to prominent contributor, given all the injuries to Houston's receiving corps. Noah Brown joined Tank Dell on injured reserve Monday due to a shoulder injury Brown suffered in the wild-card round. Additionally, Robert Woods and John Metchie were limited in practice Tuesday due to hip and foot injuries, respectively. If Woods and Metchie were to sit out Saturday, Sims would join Nico Collins and Xavier Hutchinson as the team's only healthy wide receivers.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2021
2020
Sims caught 27 of 37 targets for 265 yards and a touchdown in 12 regular-season games during the 2020 campaign. Sims opened the year as Washington's No. 2 wide receiver, after scoring four TDs over the final three weeks of his 2019 rookie campaign. The team even experimented with giving him more snaps on the perimeter at the beginning of the season, but Sims moved back to the slot after a toe injury sent him to IR for Weeks 4-8. He then averaged just 3.2 targets and 18.0 receiving yards over his final nine games of the regular season. The speedy young wideout is under contract for one more season, but he could face competition for a roster spot this offseason, as he struggled with ball security on punt returns and never quite established himself as a key part of the Washington offense.
