Jeanty joined the Broncos in Andy Avalos’ first season, and the true freshman was worked into the lineup over time. Even with George Holani still around, Jeanty had double-digit carries in three of the last four games of the season. He ended things on a high note, as in a bowl game against North Texas he rushed 28 times for 178 yards and a touchdown. All in all, Jeanty’s true freshman campaign ended with him racking up 156 carries for 821 yards and seven touchdowns. He averaged 5.3 yards per carry, while Holani averaged 5.2. They made for quite the duo! With both backs returning for 2023, will Jeanty earn more carries this season? Or will the ratio remain the same, with Holani the lead back and Jeanty an oft-used backup? Suffers minor hamstring tweak
Jeanty suffered a minor hamstring tweak during Boise State's spring game, Ron Counts of the Idaho Statesman reports.
ANALYSIS
Per head coach Spencer Danielson, the tweak was minor, so there doesn't seem to be any real concern for Jeanty heading into fall camp. Still, it's worth noting that he has a recent hamstring tweak on the ledger, especially given that he missed two games last season due to a lower-body injury, and it will be worth ensuring he's good to go when fall camp arrives. Jeanty figures to be one of the top fantasy running backs off the board during the 2024 draft season, assuming he's healthy as expected.
