Pearson won't participate in Virginia's spring practices due to an undisclosed injury, Mike Barber of the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.

Coach Bronco Mendenhall said that he expects Pearson to be back at full strength once the Cavaliers reconvene for fall camp. Pearson appeared in two of Virginia's 13 games in 2018, knocking down both of his field-goal attempts and all six of his extra-point tries. By appearing in less than four games as a true freshman, he was able to use his redshirt and preserve four more seasons of eligibility.
