Arrested on DWI charge
Porter was arrested early Saturday in Boone County, Missouri on speeding and suspicion of DWI, Myron Medcalf of ESPN.com reports.

The 20-year-old wasn't booked into jail as a result of the incident and was released on summons. Nonetheless, the arrest could put Porter at risk of a suspension to begin the 2024-25 season, his first as a member of the Loyola Marymount program after he transferred to the school in February. As a sophomore for Pepperdine in 2023-24, Porter earned a spot on the all-West Coast Conference honorable mention team after averaging 16.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 three-pointers, 1.0 blocks and 0.8 steals in 31.5 minutes per game over 21 appearances (18 starts).
