Confirms move to NBA
CArizona
March 31, 2020
Nnaji confirmed Tuesday that he'll enter the 2020 NBA Draft and forgo his final three seasons at Arizona, Jonathan Givony of ESPN.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Reports surfaced over the weekend that Nnaji was planning to declare for the draft, and the 6-foot-11, 240-pound center made the move to the NBA official just a few days later. In his email to ESPN, Nnaji indicated that he submitted the required paperwork to the league office to make himself available for the draft, seemingly ruling out any possibility of him returning to Arizona in the event he's unsatisfied with the feedback he receives during the pre-draft process. The departure of Nnaji, a potential first-round pick, leaves a big hole in the Wildcats frontcourt. He averaged 16.1 points and 8.6 boards per game en route to taking home Pac-12 first-team and freshman of the year honors.
