Doomes was granted a waiver Monday from the NCAA and will be eligible to play for Chattanooga in 2019-20, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Doomes left West Virginia after the 2018-19 season without a degree and wasn't expected to be able to contribute immediately when he transferred to Chattanooga in June. Fortunately for the 6-foot-3 guard, he received some positive news when the NCAA approved his request for a waiver. After seeing limited on-court opportunities with the Mountaineers, Doomes should have a good chance at claiming meaningful minutes for a Mocs squad that finished an underwhelming 7-11 in conference play a year ago.
