Anchors Mocs with double-double

De Sousa totaled 17 points (7-10 FG, 3-5 FT), 14 rebounds and one block across 31 minutes during Monday's 64-63 1OT victory over Furman.
ANALYSIS
Many might remember De Sousa from his days as a Kansas Jayhawk -- particularly for his involvement in a January 2020 brawl against Kansas State that resulted in a 12-game suspension. De Sousa left the KU program the following October and took the 2020-21 season off, but the 6-9 center is now the primary center and leading rebounder (7.0 rpg) for an upset-capable mid-major team in Chattanooga. He did miss a six-game stretch in February due to an abdominal injury, but De Sousa now appears to be back to full strength, having started three consecutive contests and recording his first double-double since Jan. 20. Foul trouble still remains a risk for those considering deploying him in daily fantasy contests, but there's still upside as a high-major talent who likely won't be under any restrictions as his collegiate career comes to a close.
