Grizzlies And Hornets Face Off in Interconference Battle
The Memphis Grizzlies take on the Charlotte Hornets at Spectrum Center on Wednesday night.

The Grizzlies (3-7) were able to snap a string of five losses in six games during their most recent contest, as they unexpectedly toppled the San Antonio Spurs on the road Monday night by a 113-109 score. Jaren Jackson, Jr. led the Grizzlies with 24 points, complementing with six rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block. Dillon Brooks followed with 21 points, three assists, two rebounds and two steals. Jonas Valanciunas produced an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double that also included one assist and two blocks. Brandon Clarke delivered 14 points, eight rebounds and one assist.

The Grizzlies will list Grayson Allen (ankle) as doubtful for Wednesday's game.

The Hornets (4-6) have been finding wins at a premium lately themselves, as they'll come into Wednesday's game having dropped three consecutive decisions. Their most recent stumble came at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers, which edged them by a 114-106 margin Sunday evening. Cody Zeller paced the Hornets with 24 points, adding seven rebounds and one steal. Devonte' Graham led the bench with 19 points and complemented them with 10 assists and one steal. PJ Washington contributed 15 points, four boards and four steals. Malik Monk matched Washington's scoring and added eight boards, three assists and one steal. Terry Rozier pitched in 13 points, four assists, one rebound and two steals.

The Hornets will continue to be without Nicolas Batum (finger) in Wednesday's contest.

The Hornets swept the 2018-19 season series between the teams. Wednesday's game marks the first of two 2019-20 meetings for Memphis and Charlotte.
