Timberwolves stay alive and force Game 7 with huge win over Nuggets
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Denver Nuggets in Game 6 of the Western Conference Semifinals on Thursday.
The Timberwolves got off to a slow start, but a 20-0 run in the first quarter was all they needed to get the victory. Denver was never able to recover, and the Timberwolves cruised to victory, ultimately sealing the deal with an epic showing in the fourth quarter. The series will be decided on Sunday.
Anthony Edwards led the way for Minnesota with 27 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals. Jaden McDaniels had 21 points and four boards. Karl-Anthony Towns notched 10 points, 13 rebounds and five assists.
Nikola Jokic had 22 points and nine rebounds for the Nuggets. Aaron Gordon notched 12 points and eight rebounds. Jamal Murray had 10 points amid his shooting woes.
