ANALYSIS
Green did what he could to push to the front of a crowded group of uninspiring third-base options in Milwaukee, posting a .925 OPS in 18 spring plate appearances. That apparently wasn't good enough, however, as the fact that Green isn't on the 40-man roster was likely working against him. He could still get the call at some point this season but doesn't appear to be one of the team's top options.

2014 Fantasy Outlook
Green, a third-round selection out of high school in 2012, has a big frame and the Phillies think he can develop into a power-hitting third baseman. He showed signs of his power potential with 13 home runs in 270 at-bats for Short Season Williamsport last season. Scouts have expressed concerns about his bat speed and ability to lay off breaking pitches. He likely has not been challenged with good breaking stuff in the low minors, so it will be important to monitor his strikeout and walk rates as he moves up through the minors and faces more advanced pitchers. Green will likely begin the 2014 season with Low-A Lakewood.
