Philp will skip Round 1 versus Richmond because of a hip flexor injury, the AFL's official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Philp appeared in two games for the Blues last season and combined to tally a goal, a behind and 14 disposals. The 19-year-old former first-round pick figures to challenge for more action during the 2021 season but will need to get right before that's an option.
